Isn’t this a rare beauty even though it has sustained some damage.
I almost didn’t walk down the side of the hill of the “Paleo Site” to get
this one as it just looked like a pointed rock sticking out of the dirt.......no
big deal. Well, after glancing at this “rock” numerous times, with
my nearsightedness, I decided to investigate further. Let me tell
you, the closer I got, the more it didn’t look like just any old “rock”,
and once I had it in hand I knew it bore the work of some ancient human
upon that hill. Holding this artifact in my hand was like reaching
through thousands of years and somehow touching the maker, if only in my
mind.
This artifact has already been registered with ITARP in hopes that it
will be of help in learning this area’s past, long, long before settlers
arrived.
