Alibates Flint Quarries National Park!
Dirt Brother Charles Swenson takes us there!
This first picture is not the first one taken, but to me it is one of the most outstanding.  This is just a shot looking down at the ground at the top of the Quarries site, giving an idea of the debitage that litters the ground everywhere up there.  To an eye experienced in looking for worked flint, it's enough to drive one crazy.  First of all, there is so much worked flint up there, mostly culled for nice pieces but still enough to make it hard to look up to enjoy the barren beauty of the surrounding country side.

Needless to say, as this is federal land none of it can be taken, which is maddening for a surface collector mentality.  Even with the roughest of pieces the flint, which is almost agate like in it's visual quality, it's often so beautiful you just want to take some of it with you to show how nice it really is.
