Dirt Brothers Get A Diggin' Dragon
August 8, 1999

Bob, Quinn, Rich, Dave, Curtis, & James
dig on at the same holes we've been working for months.
Highlights: An unusually tanged knife, a nice paleo point,
a couple interesting points, 3 triangle knives.

A slightly out-of-focus pic of most of the day's finds.
I think the 100 degree heat put us all a little out-of-focus!
The heat sure put our digital camera to the test!
Note all of the trangular points found--- and our new mascot--
Rich's Bearded Dragon, now the Dirt Dragon Mohamar.
Fortunately we've got some close-ups of the finds for you.

Collection of artifacts found by James--- note the small paleo point in middle
bottom row--- could this be a Meserve?
James was digging into the deep red clay layers off the ravine.

It takes nerve to dig in shorts and shirtless here---
the poison ivy roots will cover you with blisters--
maybe that's why James wants to be anonymous!
Note the layers in the hill in front of him--
the dark layer is throwback--- James is digging from
the light layer and into the floor.
