Back to Dirt Brother Bill's
August 11, 1999

It's a digging frenzy of sorts!
Bob returns to Bill's place out on the Lampasas River.
Bill finds a fine drill and more.
Bob finds a few nice points.
Bill shows off some of his metates.

We're talking hot weather digging--- by the time this was
taken the temp was in the 100's and we were bushed!

This was the kind of layer we were digging into:
this layer is rich in clamshells and snails,
mixed in with lots and lots of burnt rock.
The floor is red clay with even more clams.
Total depth of holes is no more than 3'.
See earlier latest finds for a pic of the holes.
