Dirt Brothers Latest Finds
May 9, 2000
We took "The Minnow", our leaky canoe,
out for a little paddleabout to check out the
middens. There was Bob, Quinn, Connie and
all the way from Houston, Garry, and his sons.
In just a few hours we found this nice
selection of  points ranging from the Early
Archaic through to the Woodland era.
(Not found on Public Lands!)

Our Archaeological resources are falling apart
before our eyes.

We must stop calling each other names and
start to understand the impact of urban
growth on our world.

We must help to re-write laws that would
allow boat launching at public sites, but that
would call a person who would pick up a
point near a tire tread a looter.

We must suggest and help implement programs
to preserve these sites. And we must volunteer
this help to show support for the initiatives.
