Lake finds!
An absolutely beautiful spot lined with emerging campsites along the
Pedernales River..

As usual, our lake and riverside archaeological resources are slipping
quietly away! Increased boat traffic and construction are both contributing
to this situation--- and still, amateurs are not allowed access to information
about known sites, nor are they legally allowed to salvage what's falling
into the water, although the absurdity of the laws allows for the authorities
to look away. In Texas this loss is further complicated by private landownership
of shoreline and underwater resources making it difficult for anyone to
easily identify who owns what land.
In the next group of pages, we will see some of the finds possible when
just casually looking about the shorelines..... |
