The poster shown here is the result of selecting from hundreds of artifacts that people brought into the first Howard County Area Lithics Aritfacts Roundup in March ('99). The Howard County area includes about 6 miles into surrounding counties. Since this poster was published a few months ago, many other local collectors have contacted us:  Some of them may have the points that we had
expected to find in the first charted group, so a second poster in the series will be produced fairly soon.

The second 'roundup' will be held June 27th, 1:30pm - 4:30pm at the Howard College Library in Big Spring. This event is for documentation and identification only. We don't know anything about the monetary value. I emphasize that only those objects found in this area should be brought to the library.

One of the experts at the library will be Richard Rose a recognized authority on Folsom and other ancient cultures. Please call Doyle Phillips 915 263-4946 or write to 1704 Goliad Street  Big Spring, Texas 79720 or email for further info AND TO ORDER ONLINE!
