Unit C: Back in the Pit!

We began to find plenty of rabdotus snail, but this area, at 73cm in the NE corner of the unit, had snail concentrated into what looked like a very dense mass....  this turned out to be most interesting, as you'll see. When digging, one needs to keep aware of sometimes subtle differences in the matrix (the surrounding soil)--- that's how you find features and other important things not necessarily expected.
