clay man--- left side
From Dirt Bro member  Charles Swenson in TX:

Charles visited Long's Fish Camp & Arrowhead Dig, in Kingsland, TX, and was shown the artifact featured here.... email Bob or Charles if you've seen anything like this before!!!

"The yellow portion seemed to me to be some sort of glaze, clearly different in smoothness from the composite thick grained clay mix exposed in the breaks.  The right side above also showed an interesting little layer between the composite it was made up and the outer, finished surface.

The left side shows up some of the interesting red "paint" overlaying the yellow "glaze," with suggestions of a red accent to the left eye and mouth, though I think this is just a happenstance interpretation,
Portions of the red are found on all sides but the bottom of this piece.  James' interpretation of the red was that it was just dirt that he was thinking of attempting to wash off, a move that I strongly advocated against."

Thanks Charles!.
Bob
