From Dirt Bro  Steve Ashley in TX:

Take a look at this big leg bone...over 9 inches and the bulb end is huge....heavy thick bone.... My theory, which I am starting to prove, is that Old Manor Road where it crosses Walnut Creek was once a buffalo trail. The Indians campsite was on the high bank of the creek and they could throw spears into the animals as they ran by. I have found a lot of buffalo bones eroding out of the creek bank below the camp. A huge campsite, one of the biggest I have ever seen...and right here on Walnut Creek.

Thanks Steve!
Bob
