From Dirt Bro Dan in South Carolina:

While ground searching the beaver camp on Lake Murray I ran across this
stone that I thought was just a rock with a grove, after moving it away for many times  thought it was just that.  About a month later my wife and I took a vacation to Charleston SC, and went to the museum, of course I went straight to the American Indian artifacts section,, there I saw it the same piece that I had pushed aside.  When we got back I went to the site and retrieved it.  They had labeled it as an shaft cleaner,
the one that we found was used and used, almost to miss form the rock itself.  I have found great things in the past and I must say this has really impressed me, so I thought you would like to share this with  the collectors.  Last time I saw the camp that we searched, they had a gate locked for private boat launching.

The stream is still there, the beaver is still there, and I'm sure the past is still there for us to find.  What after all these years of hunting in this site I can actually say that this site was in action for about 800 years,. The points and cleaning tools I have found are enough for me to try to come back. I have found quartz, to chirt, flint, and many other rocks that are not common to this area, the only thing that I would like to know
is where is the camp, or home to these Americans.

The land now is pastures, so more than likely is covered, and of course off limits, so be it.  I had my find and would like to share it with others, until the next one.

Thanks Dan!
