Road Trip
A Visit to The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum
August 2001

That's my daughter, Robin, beneath what can
only be called a gi-normous Texas Lone Star.
The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum opened on April 21, 2001 at the intersection of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and North Congress Avenue in downtown Austin, Texas.

This is a great museum covering "The Story of Texas" from prehistoric times through modern day. Expect to see lots about cowboys, the oil business, as well as artifacts of the Texas Revolution and the space program.

The Dirt Brothers took a trip out to the museum to see what lithics and related artifacts might be on display... what you'll see here is but a fraction of what's there.

All of the artifact descriptions, other than the Texana are taken from descriptions posted by the items. I hope I'm not violating any copyrights as I'm a devout fan of the museum and simply wish to help draw more people to this special place.
